Bobbin FSW
Bobbin Friction Stir Welding is a self-supporting supplement to Conventional FSW. The top and bottom surface of a workpiece can be welded simultaneously with Bobbin FSW, and there is no need for rigid supports for the back of the product during the welding process. It is especially useful for splicing long straight hollow profiles and longitudinal barrel seams.
